Personal, social and health education (PSHE) is a subject through which students develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to keep themselves healthy and safe, and prepare for life and work in a modern global society. Â It aims to help them understand how they are developing personally and socially.
Our PSHE programme of study has been specially designed with our international students’ needs as the focus. The aim of ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø’s PSHE course is to develop integral life skills such as critical thinking, raising self-esteem, risk-management, resilience and empathy. We cover topics based on the core principles of health and wellbeing (including emotional health), relationships and living in the wider world (including independent living and economic well being).
Sessions are taught with progression in mind as students move through school and the changes in their relationships, attitudes and emotions. PSHE is delivered in a variety of forms including: specialist guest speakers, practical workshops, assemblies and circle time to engage students and enrich their learning experiences.
PSHE has a positive impact on our students at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø, helping to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to manage many of the critical opportunities, challenges and responsibilities they will face as they grow up and in adulthood.
